Our tours include transportation from Flores Island to Blue Crater. However, if you wish to arrive on your own, please follow these recommendations:You must take Route PET-11 toward Sayaxché and you will have to travel about 60 kilometers from Flores Island.When you reach the turnoff to Las Cruces, turn right onto PET-12, pass through the town, and drive 10 more kilometers to the Los Josefinos intersection.From the Los Josefinos crossing, you must travel 4 kilometers toward Pucté Creek. This route is on a dirt road. During the dry season, you can make the trip in any vehicle, but during the rainy season, a high-rise vehicle is recommended.In Arroyo Pucté, there will be local boatmen who can take you to Cráter Azul. The boat fare may vary depending on the number of people accompanying you.
Crater Azul is located in the municipality of Las Cruces, in the department of Petén. It's usually accessible from the Pucté Creek pier, where you can take a boat to reach the Crater Azul.
